Its not that using iphone apps brings down the usage of our device. It just makes it even better. Or even better to say is it makes it prettier. I am using the alpha of the one posted above. Works very well so far. You can also check out itask on lakeridge forums. It has had over 5 updates already and each one gets better then the last. You might want to check some of this stuff out yourself. You never know, you might get hooked. I know I did.

On a similar note... is there a conversion to make my Porsche look like a Fiero?

Product is in alpha/beta testing stages but looks great thus far. Keep your eyes on it for updates, the guy seems pretty dedicated to making this a fully functional suite.

I would agree with everyone here who says the Apache is a superior device to some extent. I text with my family when I am traveling so the slide out keyboard is a must for me. However, don't pass judgement on the iphone until you have used one. My brother in law has one in his home with high speed wireless (he is a Mac guy). The phone works with the Apple wireless just as well as all the other apple devices and by bypassing AT&T's slow network the iphone really shines. The display is really gorgeous and the apps all work well together. Just as a test I played a youtube video on it and it played flawlessly. I can't do this on my Apache. On the other hand my office is a windows/exchange office and the ability to work on documents and respond to urgent emails without my laptop is priceless.

Part of what makes any device l33t or lame is the interface of the applications. Apple has always done pretty well there.

just my 2¢

I am able to play you tube videos on my 6700 flawlessly. For youtube mobile I use the HTC stream media player. For the true you tube page, there is now an TCPMP plugin that allows you to use the rugular youtube page and watch any of the videos. Click on a video and it opens up tcpmp and streams it for you flawlessly. The great thing about our device is, we can pretty much get anything on it. It just takes some competition for us to step it and and show we can do that to.

I agree with you there. The most incredible thing about our phone is the community that supports it. It would have been nice if Sprint, Verizon, or one of the other carriers had released half as competent a product as the developers here have put together. Helmi_c, luv2chill, colonel, imcokeman, and the others have put in a tremendous effort and the results are truly amazing.
