i think it'd be pretttyy neat if i could set it to make a cool noise when i slid the keyboard out. (or in)

Well. Almost anyhthing is possible through software.

If you want to modify the binary executable associated with the management of the "Landscape/Portrait" display modes to play a sound, you could get the results you are looking for.

Will anybody do this? I seriously doubt it.

There are a lot of other more important features the great folks in this forum are working on.

So, aside from a nice "clicking noise" that you hear when sliding in/out the keyboard, I wouldn't expect to get any other sounds.

I find that screaming "Horray" or "Yippeee!" when my phone switches from landscape to portrait is sufficient for me. To optimize the effect you must be in large crowds of people. Perferably in Borders or in a crowded mall. Walmart I find does not work as these people are already brain damaged and assume your just one of them. I hope this small walkthrough helps.

i think its pretty cool.

I want the super mario bros. mushroom grow and shrink noise, ;-), there has to be an easy way to do this....registry hack maybe?

Yeah I was going to say this has already been done and making tones for it is easy.
