PPC 6700, hotmail, and attachments
 

i was wondering if any one knew how to view attachments on the ppc. i sometimes get attachments on my hotmail email account and when i get an attachment i cant view it on my ppc. any help would be helpful

I've been trying to figure out how to get attachments from hotmail for quite a while now too...

Here is how it works for me. I get an email with the attachment and the attachment shows at the top of the screen under the email info and Subject title (It shows up like a link). I click it and it says it will download the next time I connect to receive email. I click the send and receive button and it downloads to my phone. I re-open the email with the attachment and re-click on the link and it will open the attachment up.

Yeah, that's how my Sprint mail works in Outlook. But I have no idea how to get attachments using hotmail...

Why not use the "outlook" to get your hotmail. That is what I do. Do you the 6700, right?

On my 6700 I have the icon for MSN... When I clicked on that and signed in using my hotmail account, hotmail was a choice in my outlook.

well I kinda found a way to do it but it involves a couple of steps. I forward the email with the attachment to my yahoo email and then it will load just fine through my yahoo email. maybe I will just have to abandon my hotmail and start using my yahoo more.

Are you unable to get hotmail in the "poutlook" on your phone using the method in my last post?

Outlook only lets you set up one hotmail account (I think). And I use several different hotmail accounts for different things...

I do too. That is why I have windows mobile live on my phone as well. That way I can have 2 hotmail accounts on my phone in the poutlook. Also, you can log off of one hotmail account and into another and then back again. I guess that would be too much work if you had more than two hotmail accounts. But if you only have 2... You could have one logged in on the basic hotmail that came with you phone and you could have one with windows mobile live.
