finding SID

i am still having an issue connecting to alltel. My esn is subbmitted. I have the current prl loaded. but if i put the phone in Home only mode it cannot find any towers. If i dial ##778 and go to edit the SID/NID it says the number is out of range. Maybe this isnt the correct SID. i checked on the list provided in many posts and it said 188 for alltel in lansing. help would be appreciated. EDIT: ok this is bugging the crap out of me. If i have the phone in "home only" mode and either 1x or hybrid mode it will continuously search for towers finding nothing. If i put it in roaming mode on 1x it does the same thing BUT! if i put it in hybrid and roaming i can dial 611 and get welcome to verizon wireless (*22801 gets me the same thing). if i dial *228 i get cannot complete call as dialed from alltel (*22801 gets me the same thing). Im a computer science major so i didnt think this would be that hard. boy was i wrong

Re: finding SID

change the SID to 204 and the NID to 65535 and see if that helps
