How can I overwrite "Default.wav"

When I use the T9 SIP I get this annoying little "ding" with each character that goes in, it drives me insane; in the past I've just pulled the .wav down out of the Windows dir and replaced it with an empty .wav to resolve the issue but with the latest ROM it won't let me replace the file.

I tried with TotalCommander and had no luck. Help?

I opened the file with a text editor and just corrupted it, worked fine. :)

When you open the t9 SIP, the button on the bottom right has the word "sym" on it, and just above it the word "opt". Hold this button for a few seconds and an options menu will pop up, and there will be an option to enable or disable the screen tap sound.

Default.wav is set as a ROM file in the new ROMs and therefore is completely locked from being edited post-flash.

Alright now when I open a message from my Inbox or enter characters with the T9 input I hear this little "drip" sound... very Windows 95 -- I've pulled every .wav file from the Windows and Wisbar Theme dirs and can not find it. Can anyone help?

I knew I had seen this setting at some point before! Thanks. :D

Eh, this solved the Default.wav file that was playing on each key press... but now when I enter a word that I've typed I still get the "drip" wav playing. :(

Is it the same one that plays when you click the start button?

Nope

I would turn Notifications off under System->Sounds and Notifications, then turn off "Use sounds provided by the theme" in Wisbar.

This worked for me, and disable pretty much all of those annoying little sounds while not affecting the important ones.

Disabling the Wisbar sounds did the trick. Thanks again. 8)
