##MSL# doesn't work anymore?

Hey everyone,
I searched but didn't find anything similar. I did an ESN swap to my PPC6700 this morning, and when I tried to enter my ##MSL#, it no longer works. Luckly, after waiting about 10 minutes I got service to the phone, since my MSID and MDN should have already been progammed in there from the last time I used it, but my ##MSL# still wont work. If I go into ##DATA# I can still use my MSL to edit, but when I hit ##MSL# it won't let me access the MDN and MSID programming. I checked my device info and it shows my ESN to be correct, but shows the HEX number rather than the DEC number. Not sure if this is normal. Has anyone ran into this? I have Kirvins Clean and Simple AKU installed.
Thanks

That's an odd one... so the other ## codes work but ##MSL# (assuming you mean ##xxxxxx#) doesn't?

Get a hold of the "customize" cab from the extrom for your carrier and install it and soft reset. See if that gets it working.

If not, then I would suggest you reinstall the entire stock rom package for your device and allow the extrom to fully install. Then see if the code works. If it does then you can probably proceed to flash back to a custom ROM (preferably one newer than Kirvin's).

Thanks for the reply! I find it strange also. I'm pretty familiar with my PPC as I have owned/hacked it for over a year now, and I am constantly doing ESN swaps between it, my Moto Q, and some EVDO flips, but never ran into anything like this. I figure I will leave it alone for now, since the programming is correct and everything is pretty stable. Odd enough though, this was the first time I actually had to wait a little while for the ESN switch to go threw. When I hung up with the CSR, I tried to make a call and I got a message like the phone wasn't recognized or something of that nature. I was getting ready to hard reset, and it finally started working.
I know it was working after I installed the new AKU, but I did notice that when I swaped my ESN to my mm9000, I still had data access on the PPC for atleast 24 hours, and I was still getting random voice mail notifications on the PPC for about three weeks. Maybe that somehow screwed up the ##msl#?

Try removing the trailing #
Making it ##MSL

Different devices have different MSLs...
