CSouth doesnt really do MMS, at least not like the other carriers. They only do "picture mail" which requires a BREW or Unlimited Data package, not to mention the picture messages can only be sent between CS customers, not to any other carrier. BREW isnt compatible with the 6700 on CS, so basically its 50 bucks (40-data plan/7-pic messaging/taxes) to send pictures to email addresses and CS customers. So trying to get all of the config info for Arcsoft is prob a waste of time, similar to how pic msging is a waste of money on CS.

Yeah, in order to get that kind of info he has to have someone on the inside, cause when I called CS about a prl update, I had to be transferred to 6 different people to even get someone that knew what a PRL was! And then another 2 people to figure out how to update it, only to find out that CS only has 1 PRL! The people at Customer Service are borderline retarded, so we need to wish him luck with the MMS settings...

Yea I have a few contacts at corporate... I know what you mean about the PRL thing though, when I updated to the 1.41 radio getting it was like pulling teeth.

The MMS thing is part of their EVDO roll out so they do have settings but apparently they're in the same limbo that the full-scale EVDO roll out is in.

It'll be at least Monday before I hear what they are (and even then they'll only effect a small number of the already very few CS customers) so it may be better to just move ahead without it. Doesn't seem crucial.

Re: Small Carrier... latest ROM?

Resurrecting an old thread. Can anyone give me the Cellular South extended rom? WOrdie, can you get your hands on the factory rom from Cellular South that was used in the Treo 700wx test units? I have one and I've messed up the text settings somehow and can't receive text from outside Cellular South. I'm guessing something in the ext. rom sets it. Anyone?
THanks
Jack
