Why are Inbox attachments being saved to EXTERNAL ROM2??

My External ROM is unlocked (I'm running a custom-cooked ROM). I've got my Inbox application set to save mail attachments "to external card when possible". I've got an external card with tons of space on it. However, when I have large attachments, my device gives me a "memory critically low" error. I checked why, and I see that it seems to try to save it to the External ROM instead of the SD card (and the external ROM indeed has only a little space on it). How do I convince it to use the SD card instead?? I think this is a new problem - it didn't use to happen. What's going on?

Because extended ROM is known as a storage card. Just hide it in the reg...

Sorry, how exactly do I "hide it in the reg"?
