I have a Generic ROM "PDAJ's WM6.1", flash and DON'T LET THE CARRIER CUSTOMIZATIONS RUN! Hit the reset hole when you see the message pop-up. The dialer aloows for codes as well. If you do it like that you will be fine... By the way, no Apache ROMs have that file to force the data connection.

By codes you're meaning "*228" or "##3424" right? Those work great. Note that some WM6.1 ROMs differ from WM5 in that instead of hitting "Send" you need to place # after the codes number, or vice versa. My ROM has the VOgue dialer which I use and it supports codes... Try it again.

Yeah. Carrier codes have always been slightly iffy with custom ROMs. Always try the send or # after and it will work.

Yeah actually, I forgot I didn't include a dialer with it. My bad. I did make a ROM for someone with a dialer for it. I can make a Metro ROM for you with codes if you'd like.

don't worry man i flashed your rom for the 4th time but let the customizations to run contrary of what you told me ,to my surprise the codes actually work,is running good so far ,installed arcsoft for the MMS deleted the HTC_CMGuardian file did the registry changes and MMS is working good(sometimes it fails but common issue on all HTC's)

there is a couple of bugs i found, the most critical is i can't access the memory card no matter what, also once you open the camera there is no way to turn it off unless you use task manager but again overall is a good rom specially for such an old phone if there's a way to make the memory card reader functional again let me know and thanks a lot for your help

The Memory card slot works fine on my device... try a hard reset, if that don't work your port is bad. Make sure it's fat32 formated. Also, the Camera is like that on all apps. I don't even use the camera on the 6700, it's almost worthless. The codes work without customizations? Interesting... never knew that...
