GPS not putting me in the right spot

Alltel PPC 6800
Using google earth
Baud rate at 4800 and using COM4
GPS not working correctly: I live in south west Florida and the GPS is putting me in Atlanta Georgia.
What the heck.
Any suggestions?

I went looking through my settings and found nothing close to causing the problem described. I take it you have it set to take time from the network. If it were a real GPSr then one could look at the display settings...
