Error code 37 is a miscellansous IP. Its a lame error for which there is a regedit around to hide it. did you enter your #@vzw3g.com and pw in the network settings for the data?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\PhoneExt

and Create a new DWORD Item

HiddenMIPError = 1

The above will kill the error message
i tried putting xxxxxxxxxx@vzw3g.com and vzw as the pw in the network settings and still no worky

fyi i'm in NJ and have the pay-as-you-go data plan

edit: just thought of something. when i create the X-VzW-MDN key, do i use new string value or something else?

Questions:

1) How can I disable the radio ROM update? My radio already is at 1.41, and I don't want to wait for the load as I'm playing with ROM variations ...

[UPDATE] OK, I figured this out. Simply remove radio_.nbf from the flashing folder and it won't be loaded. This speeds up the process if you already have the 1.41 radio loaded.

2) How can I tell if a particular ROM configuration is too big?

[UPDATE] Still would like to know the answer to this ... anything short of having to flashand have it not work. Does BuildOS, etc. throw a warning if too much stuff is selected?

I have what may be the "perfect" rom (at least for a while . Thanks again to BigJ, Helmi, Colonel, L2C and the rest who made this possible.

Ok did you go to the FAQ and check the settings under connections? IE: I'm on Verizon and my MMS is having issues

Go into settings, hit the connection tab at the bottom, then click on the connections icon, after that hit "manage my connections" it will say edit or new, go ahead and hit edit, where it says enter a name for the connection put "Data Network Connect" then keep hitting next until you get to the user name there hit the advance icon and the tcp ip tab at the bottom and check use server assigned ip and check use software compression only NOT use ip header compression. the hit the servers tab at the bottom and click use server assigned address click ok then finish and you should be able to send mms and receive mms messages. if that still doesnt work on the sign on put verizon password put yourmobile#@vzw3g.com let me know if that works.

SMS still doesn't work

Hi there, Inbound SMS messages from anything other than other HTC6700 devices running 1.1 and 1.2 do not work. Just says "The contents of this message cannot be displayed".

The last time Inbound SMS worked was 1.0.

Awesome!

Yet another awesome ROM!

Anyone notice that SMS messages show a notification, but they will not make a sound or vibrate regardless of what is set in Sounds/Notification??

My SMS messages do make sounds...I went to sounds and notifications and set all message sounds to the one that I wanted. IE: SMS received, threated sms, media message received..all those I set to the sound I wanted it and it does work for me now. Just play with it a little bit I guess, and you should be able to get it to work.

Thats weird, I don't even have those options under my sounds and notifications?? I was under the impression that you no longer need to run the extra .cab file that was for SMS and MMS message, am I wrong?

Are the video messages I receive supposed to go to messaging or the threaded SMS program. I am a little confused on this. I am with Sprint and all my pic messages go to the Threaded SMS and are tiny. I can't see them at all?

Thanks for all your help everyone!
