Signature Location

Can anyone tell me where the e-mail signature is stored? A registry compare reveals that it is not there, but I can't find it in the file system, either.

The signature is something that I'd like to save and easily reconfigure if my device is reloaded.

Thank you.

Sure, if I want to configure it manually. But not if I wish to build a CAB to do so. It's not in the registry that I can find. I'm fairly certain that it is somewhere in the file system. But where...?

maybe your pim.vol file. Try PIMBackup to see if it can back it up.

That does not appear to be it, as it does not change when the signature is modified. I'm primarily after the one for Pocket Outlook, which may or may not be different than that for, say, a POP account.

Anyone figure this out?

Now that we have WM6 that supports HTML email, I want to create an HTML signature.

I've been looking for 3 days without any luck. Has anyone found the location yet?

Thanks.

Could be encoded in some format in the registry. I know that the owner info isn't saved in the registry as text and is in binary or hex (don't know exactly which). You could export the entire registry before and after a signature and then find a way to compare the two backups for differences. Then you'll find out if it is actually stored in the registry somewhere or not.

I have done a reg compare before and after...its not in there :( Also the owner info is part normal text and part binary.
