always in serial/usb mode, regardless how many time to reset
I installed 1.41 radio which I experienced less signal so I tried to rollback to official SPRINT rom (APA_SPCS_20600_303_12700_WWE_Ship.exe).
The SPRINT installation has successfully completed radio but it fails on ext-rom installation (I guess my previous rom was BigJ r1.1 which unlock the xtrom). At present time, my ppc6700 always on serial regardless how many time I have hard reset or soft reset. Please please help!!! |
Hi,
I think I saw someone with a similar problem here a couple days ago - do a search first to see if you can find the thread and also try the chat - people are really really helpful here. |
Please post your problems only once, and do not string them across multiple topics. Also search before posting, most things have already been answered.
Hook up via usb and run this http://www.ppcgeeks.com/download,id,1825.html If it doesn't work post back in this topic |

"This application has failed to start because RAPI.dll was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix this problem." Is RAPI.dll part of activesync? If not, where can I get it? Thanks a lot for your helps. |
Try this then

The method 2 is the same method as you indicated before. I download activesync 4.5 and run the UNI_ExitBootloader, this time I got "unable to open the port, make sure your activesync is disable". I have never exit bootloader mode so activesync can not talk to my ppc6700 at all and UNI_ExitBootloader can not communicate to my ppc. When I connect usb cable, my screen changed from serial to usb but both method 1 and method 2 just can not open usb port. I even tried to refresh rom, the update was done but I stll stuck in serial/usb mode. Thanks again for all your helps. |
So when you open up activesync, then go to file->connections settings you dont see a "Allow USB connections" checkbox?

Thank you very much for your helps. I go back activesync and uncheck all communication boxes, the UNI_ExitBootloader can send command to my ppc and after perform a soft reset, the phone go back to business. Greatly appreciated all your helps. |
Thanks for that. It worked great. I thought I had bricked my phone.
