I installed the musicid program with my new rom and was wondering if I am going to be charged each time I use it. According to Shazam's website the is a $.50 charge per use. Does this program somehow avoid this charge?

What is it and what does it do? Can you provide a link to its site so I can read a bit about it?

I think the answer you're looking for is the version found on this site is a trial version, which is free to use for 3 days, and then you either reinstall the trial version or change your phone's date to keep "trialing" it out

I am guessing that since its a Cingular based program, that they won't be able to charge you for the usage... but I suppose I may be wrong. I have been using it too for the last couple days without thinking about charges.

MusicID listens to a song through the microphone on the device and then compares the audio trace via their internet database of songs. If it finds a match, it will basically just ID the song and artist for you. It works exceptionally well also... I have used it to ID 23 songs and it got them all right the first try. Very cool little app.

So by fixed you mean it will continue to work past the normal trial period and it WILL NOT charge. I was just making sure that this program wasn't merely dialing the SHAZAM phone number to so the ID and then they would charge me on my phone bill for it. Shazam has a number you can call from any phone and get the ID. It just sends it as a txt and charges like $.99 a song.

Sorry if I am missing it. But where is the cab file posted? Because I sure do want it.
