Prefered GPS Software?
 

I'm in the market to buy a bluetooth GPS Receiver. I am pretty sure that I will be buying the Holux GR 240 soon from ebay. I was just wondering if anyone had any preference on any hardware/software combo's with the Pocket PC 6700. The only software I know about that is decent for use with GPS is TomTom and iGuidance. What does everyone use for their GPS software on their phone. Thank you for your help all!

I use iguidance and it works great. They are charging for an upgrade this summer of 79 bucks. yech.

mio maps is seldomly heard of but it is AWESOME.

while we are at it, let me ask something else.. but related (not trying to steal the topic :) ) what car cradle or mount do you guys use? i've been wanting a good one that mounts on windscreen and be able to touch the screen easily. right now i am using a vent mount which is okay but blocks all the air :)

My first choice is TomTom, close second is Inav.

I don't like the fact that OCN6 and Garmin forces you to use their SD card.

i use tomtom since my prefered software (mapopolis) no longer sells maps to the general public

I used Destinator 7 with Q2 2006 maps of California and it has TTS (Text To Speech) built in, meaning it can actually say the street names. Pretty cool, been test driving it around Bay Area these days.

Latest version of iGuidance now supports this as well.

I've had problems with iguidance not copying over the POI's in a map correctly.. so my preference is tomtom...

Tomtom's interface just feels faster.. one major gripe though is that there is no way to see the address for a POI you're selecting. i.e. let's say you're looking for a hilton hotel in a particular city.. it'll just pull up all hilton hotels without telling you which is which.. major oversight in my mind..

Overall though - it's my favorite...
