Updating Apache from 1.5+ years ago
 

I wish to update my Apache with bootloader 2.04 to the latest Helmi_c etc build with WM6.1 I currently have a helmi build loaded of 6.1 from about year and a half ago... I'm totally out of practice on this stuff and hardly remember what to do...

I've downloaded the latest buildOS I believe 0.09.05 and just need some quick help on what to do... I'm on Bell as a carrier.

Curious as to what build to use?
Is WM6.1_96DPI_QVGA_20755_0409 seems to be used my frequent posters here with their signature... Also curious as to what radio and or bootloader I should be using...

Also I'm using XP as the host/machine to flash the device from and also wonder about activesync settings prior to flashing it... so it doesn't interfere

Also I never unlocked the external rom

Helmi does not build anymore. And we're going on almost two years since he built. Bootloader 2.04 is fine. Radio is fine. Just flash a ROM.

Why doesnt Helmi build anymore? Wish 6.5 would be included in kitchen soon. I am ready to move on from 6.1..

Who knows? He hasen't since WM6.1 AKU1. And WM6.5 runs terible on the Apache! Really, the Apache didn't even run WM5 right, it still doesn't run WM6.1 right...

Amen brother. I had WinMo 6 on my Apache and it ran slow as hell. Nice features though but the slowdown was more an issue than the bonuses could provide.

Yeah. A real shame, but it is even more of a shame that the Mogul doesn't run right. HTC putting only 64mb RAM in the Mogul is just plain stupid. I like WM5 on my Apache, but WM6.1 brings some nice features. All depends on what you need...
