Evdo only when forced
 

Sorry that i may seem as such a n00b here, but a few weeks ago i used BuildOS to upgrade my Apache to WinMo6. I didn't like the way it worked at first (because after the fact i had settings not set right ](*,)) so i reverted back to 5.0 using a stock Sprint "upgrade". Now my phone would not go into EVDO mode at all. I spoke to a Sprint rep over the phone & none of the reprovisioning or the sort of tricks or reprogramming worked. So figuring i screwed something up again, i reflashed to the 6.1 ROM. Now my phone will only operate in EVDO if i force it. Any other way and it reverts to 1xRTT. The radio is 1.41. I don't know what i could've done wrong to make it do this, but EVDO did work when i first had 6.1 on my phone. Any thoughts?

Fixed. Stupid PRL was 4 generations behind.

where do did you update the prl? i think mine needs updated because in order for me to use my internet settings i must be on 1x and evdo cant be on in order for it to work

I called Sprint & had them flag my account for a PRL update. Only took me 3 CSRs and up to Advanced Tech support to find someone who actually had a clue what I was talking about, including CSR #2 who told me that a PRL update would have no effect on my data service ](*,), and #3 telling me that #2 must be clueless since its almost required for EVDO service that the PRL be current, which before the update was 2+ years old
