Alltel to Verizon
 

Can my 6700 that is with Alltel be used on Verizon, I tried both cust services but neither could give me an answer,](*,), though the alltel guy said that it could be done but they wouldn't do it. Would it just require me to select Verizon in the Kitchen?

Please learn to search. There has been SOOOO much discussion on cganging out carriers. Very easy. Use Google, he is your friend.

Why would you even want to change from Alltel to VZW when VZW bought (AKA "absorbed") Alltel. Wouldnt that defeat the purpose of trying to change carriers?

It would in most areas, but Verizon wasn't able to buy all of Alltel( the government didnt want that big of a wireless "cdma monopoly") but i was trying to sell the phone, and someone asked if it could be used on verizon

Oh ok, Im following you now. I still dont think it would be that big of an issue because VZW will still have to have all of Alltels ESNs on file to account for all thier handsets out in the field. I think you could do it honestly.
