XV6700 - Windows mobile 5 performance versus windows mobile 6 performance
 

I found this phone used online for $58 with shipping. Its all stock, and has windows mobile 5 (i was planning on upgrading to the XV6800, but someone had bought it already :()

anyways, i've heard that the phone at stock is kinda crappy-ish. does flashing to windows mobile 6 fix most of the problems on these phones?

Just a word of warning, i don't know what these "problems" can be, thats why I'm asking you guys.

Not sure of the wm5 problems(never used wm5 much), but wm6 rocks on it!

WM 6.1 on my 6700 was a good improvement. Much faster and connectivity was more reliable. Still had trouble getting out of power on/password screen sometimes, but that was probably some conflict I never spent time to investigate.

Anything stock is crap, just like your car. Change things around a little bit and upgrade a few things and it might run better and faster. Change the wrong things and it could get worse.
