Windows Live Hotmail new message notification doesn't work
 

I am using windows live mobile I installed from a cab I got from ppcgeeks. it is working great to push my hotmail to me but I can't get it to give me an audible notification that a new message has arrived. I tried setting up notifications in the settings menu of wm5 and running live messenger in the background. neither works. anybody know how to fix this?

btw I am running bigj's 1.1r on my sprint 6700.
