How do I program my UTStarcom PPC-6700?
I am trying to activate my phone and the directions that sprint gives doesn't work.
Press ##520471# With the stylus, tap Edit. Select/highlight the MDN line, and at the bottom of the screen, tap Edit with the stylus. Enter the 10-digit MDN 208371xxx and at the bottom of the screen, tap OK . After i do the ##520471# nothing happens. they also gave me the code: ##712720# and its the same thing. |
Re: How do I program my UTStarcom PPC-6700?
You have to have a phone dialer installed that works with the ## codes. If your Apache is flashed with a ROM from one of the kitchens, it probably wasn't flashed with a working dialer. The newer dialers that are available don't all work like the stock one. I had to reflash with Sprint's WM5 ROM(you can find it in the "OEM ROM's" thread), then program my phone, and then upgrade to WM6.1, but reflashing with a dialer from the kitchen that works with ## codes will allow you to program just as well.

Bingo! Or you could download the Advanced Config Tool. Use it to "Disable 3rd party dialpad". Do your thing, then re-enable it again.
