My XV6700 doesn't turn on

Hi.

Recently, my XV6700 started to go dead and become unresponsive to the power switch or even soft-resetting.
The only way to turn it back on is by removing the batter, waiting a few seconds, and then putting the battery back in.

What could be causing this?
I have installed quite a few apps (including Spb Mobile Shell) and replaced the battery with a third-party product.
Could it be the battery, the phone itself, or some conflicts between softwares?

It would not be an issue with third party software, as WM hasn't even booted up yet at that point. I'd guess that it's your battery. Does it do the same thing with the stock battery?

If it won't respond to a soft reset, you got some sort of hardware issue. I'm going to put my money on 3rd party battery.

Yeah, if it doesnt turn on at all then you know you have a power issue and as said before, you have possibly a battery issue or hardware failure. Thats the only two option you have.

Does it give you power issues when plugged into charger? If not, try reflashing. Also, hit ##778 to goto programming mode and see if you get any errors. If you DO get errors, start looking for a new phone.

Yup. If not responding to soft reset then the power source is fried. I had a refurb with that problem. Reflashed and did everything. Ended up trowing it...

Could be a broken switch. I broke my reset button off the board while re-soldering the usb jack. Now Apache doubles as a rattle. Argh.
