Having problems with my mini SD card

Hey i just bought a 2gb miniSD card. I was loading music but after 558MB my phone is now saying i don't have enough memory in the SD to continue putting music in it. Also when i look at the SD memory under settings it says i have over 1300MB of free space. Can someone please help me?

What brand card is it? did you format the card before you started loading music on it?

yeah, waht brand is it? i have heard of some brands out there having that problem with the 6700, dont know if the specualtions are true, but i just say that "i have heard"

i'm not sure on the brand but it says it's a mini SD. how do i format the card? and i had the same problem on my regular SD card for my 6600.

you will need an SD card reader to stick your mini sd in it and format ir using windows

I've also heard of people scamming people saying the card is size X when really it's a lot less (people are selling 4gb miniSDs on ebay and online stores...but they don't exist! They're 2gb reformatted cards to look like 4gb. Just something to look out for...eBay has lots of memory card scams, be careful.

ok where can i get a sd card reader? also would it say under my memory that i have 1300 mb left if it were a scam? because my 1 gb sd card did the same thing and i got it from best buy

I have seen card readers that plug in to the USB port at Fryes Electronx. :thumbright:

I think you should always format your card first before you use it.
