How to add pim.vol into your customed ROM?

I am not sure if there was anyone asked this questions already, but I did not find the clear answer yet.

I wanna to add my personal pim.vol file into the my customed ROM, but it seems this file should be at the root folder. How to move my personal one from windows to the root folder?

Thanks in advance!

Why not do something like this -- (Note, I'm not doing it for you because I use outlook, and just sync after a new rom...)

Create an OEM.

I had originally written instructions here, but they were reall wordy, and im sure I had mistakes in them. Maybeone someone with more free time couold whip up an OEM?

Then all you'd have to do was slap in yer pim.vol before you flashed, and it would be in there when you flashed, as well as you would have a copy in Rom to fall back on if something happened (obviously not up to date, but something is better than nothing....

Thoughts / Volunteers?

when you add someone in to your phone, in the contacts section, outlook saves them in a file. that's the file... So if you save this and put it in your rom, then you can flash and not have to re-sync or manually add your contacts (if you dont use outlook...)

I just wanna to know if it can be implemented. As I know, the pim.vol file can be flashed into the ROM, but it only can be placed at windows folder. How to move it to the root folder? by intiflashfiles? I tried to use the below command, but failed.

Directory("\"):-File("pim.vol","\Windows\pim.vol")

Nothing happened.
