Need help with WIFI

I just got my phone and i am trying to connect via wifi. It has found my wireless router and all it says is connecting when I look at the status of my wireless connection. Does anyone know why it just says connecting but not actually connecting? Thanks

I use a wpa/psk connection. all of that looks like it is set up on the phone and the router. Thanks for your help though.

WPA/PSK should be supported. If I were you, and you don't have insane neighbors... I would simply drop the security on the router (just for testing, not permanently) and see if you can connect to an open network. Then slowly work your way up the security ladder until you find something that works for you.

My router is currently running in WPA Personal / TKIP and I have no problems. I remember trying WPA2, but I couldn't get my phone to connect.

@PolarGoat... no offense but you must be a trusting individual. WEP is pretty weak by today's standards. Yes, I know WPA isn't fool proof... but it's the best I could get without generating certs.

What ROM are you using? I've had that happen with some of the ROMS in the past, and the only way I could ever fix it is to flash to another ROM.

As an FYI address filtering does pretty much no good once the encryption is cracked, which would take 2-3 mins. They will simply grab the MAC and IP out of the packets they capture and configure the device they are using to look like yours.

One feature I'd love to see but haven't in a home wifi router is an option to keep the wireless and wired segments completely separate, so traffic can never cross between the two.

Yes, MAC filtering is nothing more than another useless headache for the admin... dosn't provide much in the realm of security. But living in the boonies you're probably safe. That is until the deer start to go war-driving.

The 6700 does not do Wireless G only B, so make sure your router is supporting B and not just G
