ppc6700 doesn't get calls & texts are slow
 

Hi. I bought my daughter a ppc6700 and cricket service. She can make calls and send texts but she doesn't receive calls and text messages can take hours to be received and come clumped together. We have wifi in the house and that works fine also. I was actually able to make one succesful call to her phone so it is possible. Any thoughts?

Who flashed and programmed the phone? Sounds like something is amiss in the phone sections files, I would suggest SID or MSID but if it can send calls out...

I bought it from ebay from a phone reseller.
It seems like it's not connecting to cricket except every few hours to get text messages. I think when she hangs up from making a call sometimes the texts come in like that refreshes her connection or something.

You need to dial ##778 or ##788# then enter the MSL. If it's a Sprint phone it might be unique, but try 000000 and then go to "Modem Settings", then "Cycle SLot INdex" and lower the number from 2 to 1 or 1 to 0.

will this fix the problem where about 80% of the time the text doesnt send and i get an error message? along with send again message

I don't think so. But, couldn't hurt to try.
