Apache w/ $29.99 VZW data plan?
I could have sworn when they made the new $29.99 plan (for "new" phones), some people had reported that they convinced VZW to let them get the deal with their 6700 - but I can't find the thread anymore...or quite possibly I imagined it. Can anyone shed some light or give a link or some tips? I'm thinking about asking for the deal, and when they say "no", tell them that I'll switch to Sprint or AT&T when my plan is up (we have about 7 phones together). Think this will work?

You have to ask to speak to a manager. Get a woman. SHe will be easy to deal with. The 'techs' know absolutly nothing.

Re: Apache w/ $29.99 VZW data plan?
i know i tried doing this last week when i got verizon. i called the guy Steve and told him i didnt need the 49.99 plan. i asked if i could switch the the 29.99 plan. he said yes. he switche me over. the n5 minutes later he calls me back and says that it was his mistake and that this plan was only for newer phones. so then i told him i didnt want the 49.99 plan and to put a dta block on my plan. so i dont know if it will work or not for me it didnt

It really is stupid. Sprint has data for 15 I believe. Though not sure how fast it is...
