VX6700 Freezes at splash screen
 

I am having alot of trouble getting my vx6700 to startup completely. It gets to the Windows Mobile splash screen an that is where it stays. I have tried soft-reset, hard-reset, flashing the rom with the updated Verizon software, and I have even flashed it with Helmi_c's lastest rom release. But, currently I am using the lastest Verizon Rom Update. It seems to be something within the programming because if I try to connect to my pc and autosync it goes through the motions like it is trying to connect but it doesn't finish, although it has connected successfully a couple times but two seconds later it lost connectivity. But it never makes it past the splash screen. HELP!!!!

Use this ROM here and tell me what happens after you get it installed

I have the Verizon VX6700 w/ bootloader v1.04, will this work with my bootloader, if not is there anyway to change it??

Image will not work - Error 120: Country ID Error... Got anything else!!!

Try putting it back to helmi_c's rom then using the one weedahoe linked.

I was able to get weedahoe's rom installed, but it is still freezing at the splash screen.

You might take out the battery for 5-7 seconds then put back in.

I left the battery out of it overnight, it is still getting stuck at splash screen.

You can at least get to the bootloader though? Did it show any instabilities prior to it not starting up all the way? I'm wondering if maybe it's something in the WinMo, or possibly corruption due to hardware issues, which is why I'm asking about before this issue surfaced.

The only real issue was the usb port was malfunctioning - ie - it would not charge or when plugged into pc (it would not sync up). But, I had the usb port repaired and I am now able to charge it and update it via bootloader. Could it possibly be the radio ver.? Here are the numbers that come up at the bottom of the boot screen (if it would help):

H/W= 12 P= SNAZ-40306
M= 12 R= 1.41.00
U= 4 D= 2.11.20 WWE

Also, is there anyway to downgrade the bootloader from v1.04 to v1.0 ?
