Radio disappears?!?!?
Occasionally, my xv6700 will not operate the radio (phone). It says that it dials, but nothing happens. And when I do a reset, the boot process (Swedish chef) indicates that the "phone software version" is "none" (as if there is no radio present). This "none" condition often persists for several attempts, sometimes it persists thru a hard reset, sometimes it persists thru a removal the battery. Eventually it "wakes up to itself" and realizes that there is a phone and radio software present. But it is most irritating, as I do not know if/when it occurs until I try to use the phone (meaning that I may have missed calls/messages/texts/ etc,...)
I just rebuilt a new kitchen last night and will see if that fixes anything. Any other ideas? |

I'll have a hard time justifying another chunk-of-change to get another (new) phone. Frugal by necessity, not by desire. |
Re: Radio disappears?!?!?
USUALLY when the radio is going out on the 67 it is hardware. But you can try replashing both the ROM and Radio and see what you get. 67s should be very cheap now-a-days however.

Re: Radio disappears?!?!?
Yup. If the Radio version area is blank then you know you have a chance of getting it back. If it reads NONE in Red then you're done. It seems to be common on the Apaches, though in all my 10 it never happend.

Re: Radio disappears?!?!?
Did you hard reset? Did you try to reflash the radio? Did you just get this phone from somewhre or always had it. What is the history with it?

Re: Radio disappears?!?!?
Manilla really shouldn't be used on Apache. There isn't much RAM...
