Skype with Bluetooth Headset
 

Hi all,

I am using BigJ's 1.0r Kitchen and cooked my own ROM from it. I also installed Skype 2.2 to the storage card.

So far everything is working fine. I can make skype calls, receive them etc.

BUT, here it comes.

I have a plantronics 590A stereo bluetooth headset. When I have the headset connected as both hands free and as stereo, and make skype calls, I can hear the sound on the headset, but the mic from the headset is not being used. Only the mic from the phone is being used.

I tried all different permutations and combinations, but none worked. Is there any way to use the headset (either in mono mode or in stereo) to use skype calls.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't think that's a new issue - it's a skype limitation. It does not look for the BT mic, just the built-in mic. Don't know of any workaround... or did it used to work for you before this rom?

Use the BT-Audio Route program to switch all system audio to the bluetooth, and it'll work. Your bluetooth will act as the mic and speaker, allowing you to make calls.
