Need help with Bluetooth and USB DUN
 

Hey guys, I am using Big J's 9.6 ROM (AKU 3.5).

I realize this info is probably posted somewhere here, but I don't have internet access to find it. My access is limited to browsing on my phone, or from work (I'm at work right now, but I have to limit my browsing here because they're cracking down right now).
I moved recently, and my broadband provider is having some trouble getting it going. So I don't have any broadband at home.
How can I use my 6700 for broadband access thru a USB cable or bluetooth? My computer is running Windows XP...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. And please don't make me search and read thru a million posts on my tiny phone screen...

I don't have BigJs ROM loaded, but generally it goes like this:

1) Disconnect your PPC from your computer if it's connected
2) some ROMs have problems w/ Bluetooth being on while tethering via USB, so turn Bluetooth off on your PPC
3) Run Internet Connection Sharing (look in Programs for it)
4) Select USB mode
5) push the connect button
6) connect your PPC to your computer by USB

You should now see your computer load the USB driver and start trying to acquire an IP address. Give it a handful of seconds and you should be good to go.

actually..... DUH... I have Big J's rom installed......

all you have to do is click internet sharing and hook up a usb cable......

its that simple now.........

Do you guys know where I can download the USB Driver for Windows XP? I think I'll just download it to my phone, and use the WM5Storage app so it works as a flash drive (and then install the driver to the computer from there)...
