PIE Problem....
I have not installed anything nor removed anything for the past month and today out of nowhere PIE started closing itself right after opening it.....anybody had any trouble with this?????
|
Haven't heard of this before but have you run MemMaid or any other type of storage memory cleaner to clean out the cache/cookies/history? That may help.
|
I haven't encounter this problem. Like Malatesta siad, your main storage memory might be reaching full capacity. Hey welcome to the forum, Malatesta. Your experience sure will benefit many here. :salute:
|
hm, have more than half free on both storage and programs :)
|
Wingzero (a reference to Gundam Wing?), thanks for the welcome!
Bunnytrigger: Still, even though you may still have storage memory left, you just might have some bad cache files or some type of java script that is loaded in there, hence why maybe, just maybe, running MemMaid (or SKTools) would be a good start. Also, I don't suppose you moved your Cache, etc. to your storage card? If so that's a culprit right there. Or PIE+? |

Bunnytrigger did that fix your probelm? I starting to think PIE plus maybe, because I have seen this probelm, but rarely. Not enough to make me remove PIE plus all together. I love the tabbing feature! So Malatesta I havent had time to try out memmaid but I have heard nothing but good. Do you find it helps clear memory, or is it just stuff I can do on my own like clear temp files and such? |
......erm....nevermind....had trial :D
cat figure out how to register PIE, googling it now |
good thing u found out the probelm. I sent u a pm on how to register.

BUT... There is one reason that I love MemMaid. Besides the main application there is a secondary one called "QuickClean" which just runs and deletes all the files you want (e.g. temp files, bad registry, notification duplicates and custom directories for things like Opera's cache). This secondary app can run after or before a Soft Reset, or what I do...map it to a hardware key! That way, when I'm getting low or just want to do..well a quickclean, I just triple tap my button 5 and it runs and cleans it all. (that and I bought MemMaid 2 years ago for my Axim...so I already had a key :o ) However, SKTools has a built in RAM cleaner that frees up your ProgramMemory which is pretty sweet. Takes about 2 mins to run but it can give you back about 2-4mb of Program Memory, which is nice. That too you could map to a hardware key. SKTools also tends to pick up a few more things than MemMaid (registry cleaning) but it's more involved to run. So that's why I like both... |
triple tap, I have never heard of this feature. I may try it out as I have a key for both memmaid, and sktools. So I may say what the heck and try out both!
