Storage Card / Back Light issues
I have a new issue. at least 3-4 times a week i cant get the back light to turn on without a soft reset. this in its self is kind of a pain. but the weird thing that i just noticed is. when this happens if I eject and reincert the storage card the lights come back on? weird huh!
if anyone has a clue what might be causing this issue let me know |
When the backlight is off, have you tried holding down the power button for about 3 seconds?

yes and still nothing. the only thing that snaps it out of this eternal sleep mode, is to soft reset or to eject the storage card freakie huh

Boubert,
Are you running any today plugins from the SD card? Also, have you moved any of your DLL's to your storage card to save space? |
no everything i use is on the phone and nothing has been moved. i seem to remember having the same issues way back when. back when i was still using AKU 2.0 it would do this sometimes. that was fixed when i moved up to AKU 2.2. now its back. it dosent seem to affect anything its just annoying is all.

What happens if you get a call while the phone is in its coma? Does it go to voicemail? Ring through, but not let you answer?

I have the same problem sometimes. What i do is slide open the key board and close it then hit the power button and that usually does the trick.

I have the same problems. Initially I thought it was my memory card, because I noticed there was a crack in the plastic on the back, so Kingston replaced the card, but I still have the issue with the new one as well. There are no apps running from the storage card, it's just used to hold my music. When it locks up I'm generally not playing music and Windows Media player isn't even running in the background.
I'm running Saridnours 3.5+ pr6. |

<[edit]> ok get this i just had it happen again last night "night worker" and of course it happens when i need it the most! "murphy's law I think covers this" and low and behold what do i see in the neon glow? a faint shadow! so i tilt the thing and realize the backlights are turned down all the way. so with a little finese im able to hit the pulldown menu, and select settings ect. ect. and without doing a soft reset was able to turn the lights back on |
