Lost data on SD - What gives?

I loaded Clean & Simple 3.5 last week. Been going great for like 5 days. Today, I pulled my SD by accident, so I put it back in, and now my 6700 states that it can't be read and needs to be formatted.

WTF happened?

use your file browser to check if your device renamed the card "storage card2". that happened to me and I just deleted the "storage card" and did a soft reset.

I really wish that's what it was. But I put it in my PC and still nothing. So it's wiped. I just don't want it to happen again.

like I said - it had happened to me wayyyy before 3.5. Sorry I could not be more help

actually your desktop have backup your SD data, i lost my data before. but if you go to memory it show your SD still holding the data, but didn't not appear. put you PPC with your desktop its will recover sometime later.

I've had similiar problems twice in the past 3 months. But it's happened regardless of the ROM. I believe my problems have been user error. First time, I removed SD card to plug it into my computer. Probably removed it when the ppc was trying to access it...thus creating a read error/problem. The other time, I performed a routine scan to check it's integrity. Now I simply backup the SD card to my hard drive every 2 weeks and restore it if I have a problem.

mdphoenix. You have a 4gb card correct? If this is the case I have heard of your problem happening many times. For what ever reason the 4gb cards tend to be flaky. Additionally if it is one of the ebay 4gb cards, they tend to just crap out, and are not the highest quality.
