Vista stuckbootloader 2.02 connection errors

I tried to flash with the newest rom 20931, and i got an error message, and now i'm stuck in bootloader. This is the first time i do this with vista. WIth XP never a problem. Now, when I try to fix the bootloader thing, I keep on getting this stupid error 150: rom upgrade utility error.

I don't even think vista is able to read the usb connection. When I run mtty, there is no way for me to choose USB from the ports. what the hell is going on?

Re: Vista stuckbootloader 2.02 connection errors

OK, I really need help people.

I'll try to explain in further details.

I already have bootloader 2.02
I got connection error 101 a couple of times (no I did not uncheck the usb connection from WMDC because i forgot) and now it's totally stuck in bootloader 2.02.

When I plug in the plug to USB it changes from serial to USB.. so that's good.

I tried to recook older roms, like 748 and 755 with NOID and standard RUU. WHen I use NOID, it says the rom isn't comptaible with my phone. BUt when I use Standard, it says that my phone isn't connected, or can't communicate properly.

If I follow the "stuck in bootloader" instructions, I go around in circles because I cannot flash my rom to the stock rom.

How do I flash to stock rom (bell mobility)?

DO I bother to flash stock rom? or am I missing something very subtle?

Re: Vista stuckbootloader 2.02 connection errors

too late

MTTY broke my phone.. ir brick.. whatever the term is. now when I reset the light goes red. I'm very mad about this. If vista doesn't work, then they should make it clear on ppckitchen. If a version is not compatible with my rom, they should also make it clear instead of making me run in cirlces. Yes i know it's at my own risk, but i'm pretty sure this isn't the first time someone went through this.

anyway, i'm buying a HTC 6800 so I hope this model is better,

Re: Vista stuckbootloader 2.02 connection errors

I always love people who don't read and want to blame it on someone else. Vista does not have a problem with PPCKitchen it is all user errors if something goes wrong. I have flashed over ten Apache's and several Moguls several times. I only use use Vista. I do not use XP. All you have to do is match the right REV version with your bootloader and turn off USB connections in Windows Mobile Device Center. MTTY never works, for me that is. I don't have a reason to use it. If you just follow dirrections and don't try anything crazy your phone will flash just fine! And there is no way on earth to brick an Apache with software. And the other user who claimed he bricked his Apache, which I talked to pretty often, found that the hardware was his problem. He had a broken pin in the Mini USB. He fixed that and it was fine. With all that said, hard reset the phone a few times (it will keep going back into bootloader), turn OFF USB connection in WMDC. Make sure the REV version matches your bootloader, and reflash. If you can't do it, consider selling me the phone...

Re: Vista stuckbootloader 2.02 connection errors

my bootloader was 2.02, so I chose 2.02. I never used vista. I always used XP and flash it 100 times no problems. Yes.. I forgot to uncheck the USB connection, but now what????????? I can't undo it right? I would be greateful if I had a solution that will what I have to do now.

MTTY does not allow me to connect to USB which is weird.

anyway, thanks for the help.

Re: Vista stuckbootloader 2.02 connection errors

i would sell you the phone but I'm pretty sure it's bricked. VIsta now no longer recognizes my device after I may have mistyped a command in MTTY. Symptom: I soft reset and nothing happens, red light flashed once and that's it.
