How to access shared folder on wifi network?
 

currently ive got a shared folder available to my xbox and i want to access it via the ppc as well. Ive got it configured to use my wifi for internet so all those settings are peach. What else do i need to do? I'd also like to create a shortcut button directing TO the shared folder, is that possible?

Also, when i connect to activesync, is the ppc pulling a virtual ip add from my computer and using that to connect to the internet? I dont know how to explain it.. but i dont want activesync to give me internet access at all, i just wanna get internet access through my wifi and evdo.

Use Resco explorer it makes it as simple as doing it on the computer. I think Total Commander does it as well.

Yep I use total commander all the time to access shares. Works great,

how do you use total commander to access?
type the //computer name//folder/ in the upper box or something?
i tried that and it did nothing

tap \ (just to the left of the .. and the right of the path box)
Double Tap \\ at the top of the list
Double Tap LAN
Double Tap <new server> (you'll only need to do this once, in the future your server will be in this list)
Follow the prompts
Don't check remember password, it doesn't work :(
