my phone has IR as well as bluetooth which I do believe the beam has to be enabled for both to work I might be wrong ..... I'll look in to it!

but in any case my phone transmits RF as well!

I am in the industry so I will be doing some testing !

Will post back if there is any validity to this!
So I can unlock a car with a wireless router or even a cordless phone too? Both operate at 2.4ghz and have a much nicer range than bluetooth.

Storing up a bunch of alarm codes and setting off all the panics in a 300m radius could be fun

luv2chill your a good guy and from what I can tell very smart and/or talented or both but you have over looked one major thing and it is staring you right in the face, something that gives you an idea what industry I am in,...................... don't flame me I'm not worth it!

and if you did read what is under my posts why would you think that I was in IR or RF field??

Why must people be so blind!!!!!
Why must people feel the need to be closed minded or just plain rude!

"But go ahead and waste your time if you want."

that is what I am here for! I'm off work and my wife and 3 daughters are
shopping.......... what do I do when this happens ..... waist my time and drink beer! lol.

Like I said I'm not worth it !

As a result of all the negative feedback to DopeWeasel's "Found this diggin around tonight, what do you all think?" post I, Have two drivers one with a 2006 toyota corolla and 2003 infinity G35 and the other with a 04 and a 05 G35, and we will try every thing with our phones to get in to these cars....sorry guys I don't have anything better to do with my time but to sit here and get results!

I'll check back soon!

Test results

Ok, so we were unable to get in to any of the cars with our phones so as it sits unless we have done something wrong it doesn't work for us.

we also tried putting my wireless router with in range as some smart @55 suggessted..... nope doesn't work for us. but just incase there is someone that would like to try it with their phone or router we used a Telus HTC P4000 WM6, Palm Treo 700wx WM5, Motorola Q WM5 and for wireless routers we used a Linksys WRT54GS, Linksys WCG200, Linksys WRT54G3G-ST Sorry I don't have any other equipment that I can try with one of my guys did suggest throwing my phone through the window of the 05 G35 that way i could tell you guys that my phone work at unlocking cars.... LOL i'm thinking about firing his @55 because after 5 months he is still doesn't use his brain!

For those of you that would like to know the code is " *222 send " this code is for her 07 saturn sky... but from what iv'e been told It will work on any car , truck , motorcycle or motorhome but only if you have a special card in your walet or purse that says CAA, AAA or AMA on it.
