How-to's requests.

ok so I think I have covered all the major how-to's. So I decided to make a thread just for apache how-to's requests. So if anyone wants to see a certain how-to you can post those requests here. I will try and help where I can and for what I can't answer or help with, I'm sure one of our members may be able to help.

I have a 'how-to' question.
I use MS Outlook on my desktop and don't have a data plan anymore on my ppc. I would like to be able to write an email and then when in the cradle syncing, the email would just go to my 'outbox' on my desktop.

Is this possible?

You should just be able to do that, open up the messaging app on your phone, move to the outlook folder and compose a message. when you sync, just make sure you are set up to transfer mail items, it should see the message on the phone, in the outbox, and move them to the PC, once on the PC it should send them the next time it talks to the mail server

You have to make sure email sycn is enabled in the partnership profile, but yeah, it should just work (tm)

this topics almost a year old before it got its first reply. :) I've moved on letting others take over the apache section patiently waiting for the 6800 to surface.

i was working on an extensive "kitchen" how-to but finals are coming up and most of my work on the handset has diminished over the last few weeks. By the time i get out of finals the 6800 will be out and i am feeling unmotivated to get back to it.

If its something you want for "archives" sake then ill get back to it after school is out for the summer... i am however, hoping the 6800 is cracked down to a kitchen quickly and make the efforts here renewed for the next generation of sprints 'not-so-uber' TITAN 6800

Yeah I was going to add, if you used a data plan you either had push email or a pop/imap email set-up. If you used push email, it should still work fine when cradled, to grab your emails. If you used pop/imap before, you need to begin using the active sync email (it will reside under "outlook" in the messaging app) and have active sync emails for you. Then it will work exactly as described in the original post, and won't try to dial out on your cellular data line.
