usb device control?
 

I've done a bit of searching here and elsewhere, but I have not found any information about the possibility of using the 6700 to control usb devices. I'm not sure yet what devices I'm actually looking to control, but aside from having to power them up, would it be possible to control such things as external cd/dvd rom drives, or printers... etc. ? I'm sure someone other than me has thought of this, but I have yet to find details. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The 6700 only has USB guest capabilities it will not perform USB host functions even if you get adapters to make the devices physically connect.

The 6700 doesn't support the USB host function required. Search:

on Google and you will find a few threads on various forums.
