Help adding a few reg entries to my ROM
 
First off, I just wanted to thank everyone for their efforts with the Unified ROM kitchen, this is great! I've successfully burned my own ROM and added a few useful OEMs, but need some help adding a few registry entries. I'd specifically like to add the following:

1. Hide taskbar battery meter
2. Hide taskbar rotate icon
3. Hide taskbar comm manager icon
4. Single line date tweak

Where do I even start? Has someone already made an OEM package that includes some of these? Thanks so much!!

Sure. Following the instructions on creating an OEM (in a sticky) grab a UUID, create a folder called "zz_something" (zz so it loads last and your reg entries don't get overwritten). I actually created my own OEM that has a whole slew of things in there, but the one you're after is the RGU file. Unicode text, also copy a blank version of it to the same filename with a .DSM extension. Here are my reg entries that go in the RGU file:

That covers the ones you wanted and a few others that you probably don't want, but at least you can pick and choose. Put the RGU and DSM files in your own custom OEM, drop it into your kitchen OEM folder, and create your ROM. Enjoy!

Nope, I just do that one manually. There are registry compare programs folks use to build OEMs that you could use - set up your ROM, do a registry snapshot, then set up the #777 connection and do a comparison. If you have time to do that, post the results!

Forgive my ignorance but what do you mean setup the #777 connection? I have a comparison program and am williing to post it for you but I don't know what you mean.

I'd like to set up my ISP connection to dial #777 to connect to my carrier's data. Instead of calling it something like 'SprintPCS' i'd like to simply call it 'The Internet'
