BuildOS - edit files before creating ROM, or a semi-automatic mode
Hey!
I have an annoying problem with BuildOS. It seems to want to do everything on is own, and it's driving me insane. I can't get it to pause the build process before it builds the ROM! It tosses all the files together, builds the registry, creates the filesystem, converts it, packages it, and ships it off, all before I even get the chance to look at the files it wrote! My big problem is that I DOOOO NOT want a million junk .rgu and .dsm files cluttering up and slowing down the Windows folder! They really should be automatically deleted already, but that's probably not going to happen since people seem to mistakenly believe that these files actually do something (and it's going to be a back and forth bickering argument...). So while everyone whines back and forth about how useless/useful .rgu and .dsm files are, I just want to effing delete them, learn from experience, that sort of thing. Long story short: stop the "cooking" process halfway through. How can I do it? |

Long story: The .rgus are not built in, the .dsms are. The .dsms ARE needed. Your rom will not work without them - probably won't even boot. |

So, what, for whatever reason, like building the ROM image yourself... there's absolutely no way to get the build process to stop aside from end-tasking the thing halfway through? That seems like really sloppy coding IMO... then again, muppets everywhere... o_____O
