Sudden memory drain?

I have Sar's 3.5 pr6, with not many programs installed to memory, almost all installed to my storage card. I have like WA2 and PB on phone, idtransfer, audio gateway, and I think Resco Radio on the phone? The rest is on the card. I will have to hard reset and unlock the ext rom and learn how to install stuff to there too I guess. Plus I had to install MSVC 1.6 to my phone as it wouldn't work by copying the old exe over, and I cannot find the 1.6 exe in my phone. MSVC is already in the ROM tho, but that was months ago...

This morning the phone is acting creepy and I plug it in to desktop, and it says 2.21MB left in memory? The IE cache/temp folder is clear, I have no pics/vids on the phone, and all emails and texts are erased too (I did those BTW to see if they were what was hogging space)

Any ideas why the sudden memory loss?

Try a soft reset and see what you have available.

These handsets consume memory to a degree and a SR is necessary every so often to clear that memory leak.

Also, if you are running Vista, I notice that ever once and a while it copies over media files and fills my phone to the brink.

Maybe your calendar reminder needs to be reduced in activesync?

make sure wmp is CLOSED fully before plugging the phone in, also go into the mobile device manager and UNCHECK the box that says "media"

that crap took me a long time to figure out when i was running the vista beta...

better yet... uninstall vista and use winxp.... your happiness will increase by 10
