Picked Up A VX6700 For The Mrs.
 

I know this isn't a compelling thread, but I have the PPC-6700 and the Mrs. loves it.

So I started hearing the "Why do you get all the cool stuff?". I said "Cuz I'm the geek and you're not".

Anyways, she's on Verizon and I found a VX6700 on eBay and it was a bidding war, but I prevailed with 11 seconds left. I won it for $230.00 shipped.

A couple of questions though:

1. Was that a good price?
2. Colonel, do you have a 3.5 final version for this Verizon phone? (I'm using yours in mine and you will be rewarded when you see the big man upstairs). If not is there a 3.5 ROM out there that will?
3. Can this phone be converted to work on the Sprint network? Her Verizon contract is up in Feb 08 and were gonna switch to Sprint.

$230 isn't a bad price - not a steal of a price, but certianly a very fair price for both buyer & seller.

Not an easy task, but yes it can be done.

Yes, I have roms that should work for all carriers.

How have you been able to get the VZW 6700 to be ported to Sprint? AFAIK, since the VZW ESN number isn't in sprints database, they wont activate the phone even if you're married to the CEO's daughter... I'd love to know how, because I have a friend who want's to switch, and I told him he was outta luck. Thanks!

I don't think that was such a great price. In the last 45-days and 56 completed auctions, only one person paid more than you for a VX6700.
Several went for <$150, I would have held out longer!
