My radio is 1.12.00. Is that a problem? I did install HTC's rom before loading the clean and simple program. Phone's working fine, but . . . :?:

A long time ago before doing the 3.5 update, I did the Sprint update here - http://www4.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/s...ms.jsp?OSId=50

This firmware update only applies to Sprint phones. Verizon has their own firmware update which will have different info. I do not know if the latest unified rom update does this for you so you may have to do this first.

Can't say for sure - I'm an upgrade fanatic so unless I find something that doesn't help me, I always go with the latest however I'm pretty sure you are asking about your date etc. This will wipe out your phone and you'll be starting from scratch, then you'll have to apply the 3.5 update afterwards.
