Backup Text Messages
 

Is there a way to backup text messages both from the inbox and sent items? I have an interesting conversation that has a lot of data that I wish to save.

look for PIMBackup over at xda or I can post it tomorrow. I use it in my rom.

Are you using the regular text messages program or the threaded sms one?

The programs provided above will backup the messages then. :)

I am using the threaded message app and noticed that it says it successfully backed up and inserted text messages but when i go to view them they are not there....is is because im using this app? If so how can i back up text messages using the theaded app? thanks

Still haven't found a way to back up the messages using the threaded sms app. The again, I stopped looking a while ago... As far as I know, no one has found out how to back them up.

If you copy that file out of your windows directory and then back after hard reset and reinstall of threaded sms, then all your messages will be show back up.

I archive my file every month or so cause it gets big fast if you message alot. have not tested a way to view the file from a pc but that would be nice for looking back at older messages.
