Voicemail notification won't go away

I'm using Big J's mario rom and I had a voicemail notification earlier. Checked my voicemail, and then deleted it. But now my 6700 is saying there is a voicemail. I dial VM again and no messages. I pull the battery and reboot the phone and again it comes back.
How do you get rid of this false notifications?

Navigate to Start > Settings> Phone > Services > Voicemail. Click "Get Settings" and then click "Clear" and you should be good to go.

Sweet, thanks so much!
Rebooting has always fixed it in the past so I never even knew about that settings screen.
Again, thanks

Before I found out about this, I had to call and leave myself a VM only to check my VM and wait for the stupid icon to clear...what a pain...
