help with build problem G'reloc and S000
 

hi

Im a total noob - though I did build a new os for my apache a while back, but it has been falling apart over time for whatever reason. Now it has gotten so bad that I wanted to do a fresh install. Alot of the instruction to assemble a build are sort of over my head but I thought I had everything in order until I went to build it and along the way I got a problem related to something called

G'reloc

the error msg:
"Cannot open file C:\Documents and Setting\gabriel\Application Data\hIq Inc\PPC-BuildOS\9.05.3.0Temp\temp\dump\.ROM\S000."

I have searched the forums but there doesnt seem to be a straightforward explanation for what's going on. I don't know if I have missed some behind the scenes setup type stuff. I just recently reinstalled BuildOS and didn't install any new "kitchens" or anything...Just chose from one of the selection files and then chose some apps..

You should totaly unistal buildOS and start from scratch. Use the new 20755 build. Works great! Watch my videos if you need any help. Link in my siganture. Enjoy.

oh god damn. I thought I needed to uninstall BuildOS and start from scratch and only watched your vid as I was in progress. Now it's like hung up...I wish this weren't so damn messy...i guess this is not for the faint of heart...

still getting the same error msg. I have to admit that I had trouble understanding your instructions. Here's what I did:

1. reinstalled using that BuildOS.msi from the specified URL
2. placed the rars I downloaded from that same url to the kitchens folder. I took the Apache Helmi, the Apache core, the PPC Kitchen OEM and a selections text file which placed in the Build os directory. Ileft them there as is.
3. I ran BuildOS as normal. I chose not to install the updates that it wanted to because it seemed to me that I had essentially manually updated those files - or was that the wrong move?
4. I built the Helmi version, and got the error on G'reloc.

what am I missing, other than an understanding of what is going on?

Ah. You know what I forgot. I really need to make another video. I don't think Helmi's ROM works with the new BuildOS. Someone correct me if I'm worng but I'm not sure. I use LennySh.

woh really? I thought I heard you in your video say that you prefer Helmi to Lenny...and it was made quite clear. I will try Lenny now...

Yep lol. Until I got the newer Lenny build I hated those. I know, I have got many questions on that. Helmi's is great but there was a software I started using on my Apace with WM5 and wouldn't work on helmi WM6.1 but did on Lenny. I had numerous problems with lenny's other ones then tried his last one and I loved it.

when I choose the lenny build I get the following error:

Kitchens\Apache_LennySh_19213.rar:
found KitchenConfigVersion=.90.01, but BuildOS needs KitchenConfigVersion=.90.02

huh? what??
