I think Weedahoe is right (for now). A couple things to think about:

1. Hard Reset: The hard reset procedure you described is not the normal hard reset, but "bootloader" mode. To Hard Reset your XV6700, hold the two soft keys down while inserting the stylus in the reset hole. Then press the "Y" on the keyboard, then the space bar. Click here for Verizon's instructions (Method 2 at the bottom of the page) if mine didn't make sense.

2. If you can get into your XV6700 again and installed ActiveSync after Hard Reset and still suspect your system is corrupted, download Verizon's latest system rom update to your computer here unzip the file, then run the exe program while connected to the XV6700.

Let me know how you make out with this.

Re: xv6700

I want to. But the 6800 was free from a friend but I not yet activated it cause I need to come up with a way to make them think I bought it from them and my contract is up but everyone else on my plan upgraded so their locked for another two years but I didn't. My line has all the dirt on it so I need to end my service then I'll pickup again. I think I might say "Hi, I bought my 6800 today from a retail store but I din't activate because I needed to wait till I got home to transfer everything." They'll activate it as a new phone and not equitment.

I would like to go to Sprint though.
