VX6700 Screen

Just picked up another VX6700. When turned on the screen shows colored vertical lines and a blackened area on the top of the screen. My guess is that this phone is unusable or needs to have a new screen, but would be glad for your input too. Thanks!

Well I guess if it is like that will all screens you use or bring up then yeah, something is wrong with it. Time to replace it or call Asurion and cross your fingers.

Yeah. Get a lady and kill her with your kindness. Also, if you're not sucesfull come up with a quick reason to get them not to notate your account. I do that everytime now so I can try and get sucess with someone else.

I laways use "Well can I just go into a retail store?" They say okay and don't write anything down.

Just tell them you lost your phone. Then you dont even have to send one back to them. Thats what I do or I just break phone apart they cover for damage not if phone stops working or manufacturer defect.

Ahh yeah. If it's for insurance that will work. But if it's a replacment it won't.

Yeah but although he doesnt say where he got this 68 from, he does say he just got it. So I dont think he should have to take it apart and replace parts in it unless the price was extremely right. Either way, replacing parts or claiming insurance is more money on top of the cost of the device. A swap is best if you can pull it.

Re: VX6700 Screen

I would try an activate it and then call in a few days telling them something is wrong with it. Don't tell them it's the screen. If it works to get a new one don't send this one back, becuase they will bill you. Most of the time they don't send out bills if they don't get it back.
