I had this happen to me once - and surprisingly, it was noticed and I was able to format it in a Treo.

My phone couldn't see it, and my PC (through a card reader) couldn't see it - but the Treo was able to save my card. If you know anyone with a Treo, I'd recommend trying that.

I guess this was using a adaptor to use that Treo?

Maybe this is what saved it?>
Also, something to try is turn off your PDA and take out your mini-sd and if your pda doesn't turn on, put it back in. It will turn back on, saying that it is the same thing that happened to me. I have been through two cards and I have a refund on hold for when I send my last one back. I don't understand why these things are soo unreliable. Wonder if the move made by HTC from the Mini-SD in the 6700 to the Micro-Crap in the 6800 was for money or for bugs and issues. Hm...

Ditto - and it only cost me 20 bucks including shipping!

Guys,

For those who don't have problems, and are constantly knocking on wood, do you only use it with your 6700's or do you use it in the card read of a pc?

Andrew,

I have three 2gig cards (sandisk, kingston, & veritech) and ues them almost exclusively in my 6700 for just over a year now...never had to reformat any of them and have never had any data loss or any other issues. One has my gps maps that I use all the time, one has movies and one has music and PC program cab files for backup.

Ok,

I remember back before I upgraded my ROM and started fooling around, the phone was really slow and locked up a lot. The only thing that seemed to change this was when I synced with a pc. It seemed that would always grant me a very small window of time that my device would be a little faster compared to when I wasn't syncing via Activesync. Also, I think that the problem with the SD Cards are the same. If you use yours soley in your card slot in your device your more likely to ruin it or loose the data. I believe that in both cases that when in stand-alone mode and not syncing (Device) and when the Card is in the reader, they store a lot of loose ends everywhere and it causes a lot of problems with stability. Soo, for those with new cards maybe we can see that the percentage increases of good conditions where cards don't disappear and the data stays intact when you use it in the Card reader at least twice a week. Anyone recall that feature that most Adaptors brag about? Built-in security management for playing of secured files. Maybe this has something to do with it?
